Aristo swap into 01 GS300
I am curious about the exact specifics on an Aristo swap into a GS300. Through some twist of fate I found 2 2jzgte engines on Facebook for under 2700 and an 01 GS300 for 1000 and they all now sit in my garage. Everything I've read leads me to believe that if you have the later model 01+ ECU wiring (which my car does) it's a nightmare to wire up properly.
My question is whether one could use a 98-00 donor car that had the older wiring and just rewire that section using the 98-00 wiring harness.
My reason for asking is I have two 98-00 parts cars that are wrecked but have good wiring. If it can't be rewired easily I will probably just fix the 01 I have and sell it and buy a 98-00 car. Thanks y'all.

Here are just a few of the 20+ threads I have open in my browser that document exactly how to swap an Aristo into a 2JZ either with a 98-00 or 01+ chassis.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/bui...te-swap-6.html
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...arts-list.html

I am not asking for that. I have found no DIY's or the like that cover using a 98-00 chassis harness on an 01 and up GS300. I've read people rewiring them and repinning given the Aristo and 01+ wiring diagrams like this:
http://wilbo666.pbworks.com/w/page/4...ngine%20Wiring
And when you're done you have a car that runs assuming you do it right.
I am interpreting that to mean that there is not a method for a 98-00 harness to a GS300 that is simpler that what I just said above. I don't understand the issue with asking, "I've looked for this info and can not find it or what I've found leads me to think X. Is that correct?"
Furthermore, I've found a dozen CL threads that look like this:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...swap-help.html
It literally has multiple people asking for info similar to what I am. The answer to them appears to be the same as the answer to me.
"We know how to do it, there's no other known way to do it (or at least known easy way to do it), it's spread out throughout CL but no one has ever written a half page sticky on how to splice wires or read a wiring schematic (neither of which requires a PhD in engineering) and so people keep asking".
I've actually bought a 98 GS300 which I can hopefully use for this and I don't have to wire half a wiring harness. Should I end up using the 01+ car I have I will try and make a DIY for it cause it appears it's badly needed.
