Default Jacking car up

Hi guys! I have an '02 Gs430 and I was going to jack up my front passenger side because I had a flat tires recently. I was going to put my spare on but I noticed the pinch weld on that side was gone or really destroyed. My car is pretty low and I wanted to know the best way to jack the front of the car? I saw the diy on jacking the car but wanted to ask anyway. Thanks in advance

You can always jack a car up by the frame rails but that might be hard to get to if your car is already lowered

The pinch weld will still be ok. Even being smashed up its still a strong point. Unless you have a serious rust issue where its going to pop through. Probably not in Nevada though.

I always use the sub frames but I also live in Chicago where pinch welds are sometimes non existent thanks to the road salt they dump on the roads. I would try to put air in the tire to get a bit more height if you can and if that does not work then you can drive up on a piece of small piece of wood to get more height since your car is lowered.

Thanks guys for the help. I didn't know I could still use the pinch weld even though it's smashed. You guys are awesome.

Just be careful. With the pinch weld being flattened you now have lost the added safety feature of having it sit inside of the top of the jack to add additional stability to the car. So do your due diligence to pay attention when lifting the car.

And this ^

Might want to consider getting a small jack to keep in the car instead of that little scissor jack. I really don't like those.
Some people might find keeping a jack in the trunk annoying, but I really don't give a ****. I was thankful it was in there when I had to use it.

I was just thinking that myself. I have an old one sitting in my garage that I'll throw in the trunk. Better to be safe than sorry.
