Default Why did my thread get closed?

There was actually great conversation starting, and my thread "[b=left]Great deal - should I ditch my ES for it?" was closed. Can someone please let me know why?[/b]

Also, ES isn't a Camry, its a Toyota Windom. Just like a Solara, Avalon (before 2005) and sienna (before 2004) are camry-similar, they aren't rebadged Camrys. Dont get me wrong, im not proud, but facts are facts. a Buick Verano is based on a chevy cruze, but it isn't one. Sound deadening, steel thickness in areas, motor mounts, and other components make the difference. An ES is a step over a camry in many ways, but they are mechanically almost identical

it came down, basically, to not wanting this GS bad enough to part with my car. I WILL own a 1990-94 LS someday as a collectible. Had a 2014 Avalon, it was a bit stiff.. they revised them in 16 for that reason. I LOVED the older ones pre-05.

Lastly, if your 70's caddy bounces, bring it over, I'll put some new shocks in it for you, will only take 15 minutes ;-)

It was a boring thread that didn't create any value. That's why it was closed. Comparing an old ES to a GS... c'mon man. Additional you were asking standard questions that could've easily been answered with the power of search.

Thats pretty rude and unnecessary. I contribute hear often, technically, not just opinions. I BUILD cars and parts, I think I understand why a straight six to the rear wheels and all the other non-economy components are better than an ES. I wasnt looking for that, I was looking for opinions on if its worth the sacrifice, roughly 70$ per month in gas for someone who drives as much as me, along with other factors. but like I said, I decided to stick with my camry… oops I mean 2002 ES284 (used to be a 300!)

my guy,

regardless of anything, you can't compare an ES to a GS.

that's like comparing a plain civic to an accord, no matter what, the accord will always be better all the way around.

if gas is really a huge issue for you, you should go look for a civic then.

the ES is a joke of a car. theres a reason why the es is FWD and every other 'real' lexus is RWD and AWD for the lx's rx's, etc

Your thread was closed because you stated that you were going to keep your ES. Why would it be left open? This one will be closed as well.
