Default U-Joint Replacable?04 GS300

Been hearing noise coming from under the center counsel. Got under the car and turned the drive shaft and can hear slight metal grinding coming from the front u joint. Can these things be replaced? Read something about the Toyota highlander not being serviceable. Is this the same for the 04 GS300?

Um... I don't believe the GS has a U-joint. It has a pair of driveshaft couplers and a carrier bearing.

It has a U-Joint forward of the carrier bearing boltup.I would ck that out. GS’s have staked U-Joints. Pricey repair if it’s the culprit. Unless you can scrounge a complete non separated used D\S and ck out the joint before purchase.
