Tire recommendations for 2002 GS 300
Baby needs a new pair of shoes. This is a street car, never raced, autocrossed or drifted. Criteria are tire must be QUIET. Dry performance is important, but I'm not willing to trade civility for another tenth of a G on a skid pad. Snow performance is not a factor, wet performance is. Car has 16" stock wheels and I have no interest in changing.
Current size is 215/60R16, 225/55 is listed as an alternative size. Any pros or cons as far as size goes?
Currently considering Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus, open to other suggestions.

I have the Pirelli P7 Cinturato A/S + on my bone stock 99 GS3 with stock 16 size and they are amazing and quiet. I'm in the south and heat and rain are most driving conditions. They are great in heavy rain with great grip and no instances of hydroplaning. Best tires I've had on a car and I've been a Michelin guy until this point. I think these are the perfect fit for the 2GS.

+1 on rossmer's & medicaldoc's suggestions. If your criteria is QUIET, then the P7 a/s plus is your best bet. Just check the Tire Rack reviews. I have the P7s 245/45/18 on my ls430 and on certain roads they are scary quiet. Also had a chance to run the same 18" setup on my GS for a few months and the P7s are quickly becoming my favorite quiet / comfy tire.
I could only imagine how comfortable they would be in 16s. Stick with the 225/55/16.
