Do u get annoyed or it is what it is?
When new members join & post pics of their new GS, I sometimes get annoyed. I love the GS don't get it twisted but can they at least mod their car wit a few trinkets. Like we all haven't seen a stock GS hundreds of time. I want to see something new that hasn't been seen, copied, imitated or done before. Like do something besides putting coilovers, rims, or a system on their car. What's yo take this.

It is what it is. The Gs is still a nice looking car. And depending on the new owners age the car my be older than them. Lol. So it could be something new to them. Just like the first time we all got our cars we showed if off, maybe not here on Cl but somewhere for sure.

These cars are getting cheaper and cheaper so there is a new generation of owners. This should allow more one off cars but also you need deep pockets or lots of time to make the car truly unique. When we are talking about a 20 year car the number of owners who want to dump money into them diminishes. This is exactly what happened with the other platforms I was driving and working on and why I left one of them.

Honestly, it bothers me a lot less than when people ask a question that I know for a fact could have been Googled or searched here. If you go through my post history you'll see that I don't have a lot of threads started for questions and that's a testament to how much information is already here, on CL, or otherwise easily accessible. Literally everything I know about the GS, I learned from the Internet. It super extra double bothers me when people get *****y at being told to search instead of being spoon-fed.
I don't really care if someone posts a pic of a car I'm not impressed by. Probably because it's not what I come here for, but also because I like that brand or model or theme specific forums are a place for people with something in common to hang out together and share what's going on. I totally get the pride of ownership, even when car's not that hot, so unless the person is being a blowhard and talking themselves up like they're the **** when they really ain't, I'm all for people posting their rides. But don't make new threads unless it's a project thread, 'cause that's just annoying.
