I took a closer look and it is part of the grill as I see it which I think looks very good. I did also notice the gap at the top at the hood portion so I remain undecided. I really like that grill however.

SPORTS, Lexmatic says no worries about fit. Mine will be put on at the paint shop, so I'm assuming they'll take their time and get it right. Hope I'm not giving them too much credit

No disrespect intended SLD. By the way how much are you getting charged for the paint and install of your grill? I am looking to get the grill through a performance shop in Canada and the cost for the grill including shipping and our taxes (15%) will run me about $265.00 U.S. The MSRP by the folks at RMM is $250. did you get your grill direct or from a retailer?

None taken I was j/k.
I just ordered my grill last night online.
I'm getting the entire front end of the car painted. It was sand blasted by a construction truck coming home from a trip.

TRD VS L Tuned Grille VS Others Ideas?
If you were to decide on the TRD Grille vs the Ltuned or other companies out there which one do you think would look best on a Black GS300. Trying to stand out from the rest of the stock GS's but also not go over board at the same time. Any suggestions as to which one will look best on my vehicle would be great. My total mod list by summer time for looks will be my Tein CS coilovers, A set of I forged Fully Polished 5stars 19x8.5s and 19x9.5s, Clear Bumper Markers, TTE front lip, and 01 Tails to give you an idea of the look i'm going for.
Thanks Justin Falla
Also what is best fitment and quality

I have the L-Tuned grille and love it, especially compared to stock. However I must say that I really miss having the Lexus "L" up there in front. I know there's a company that makes a grille that looks just like L-Tuned only with a logo letter in the middle--that's the one I think looks best!

I like them both, hard decision.
Here are a couple of pics from the gallery of VVT-I's CF TRD grill on a dark blue GS and my L-tuned Grill. VVT-I added the 'L' onto the grill I believe.
Fittment is supposed to be excellent on both of these (I can vouch for the L-tuned).
A complaint several have about the TRD is that it is too 'open' and easy to see through, which is distracting. VVT-I updated it, as documented here in this thread. It also isn't "real" carbon fiber, so I personally would probably paint it.
------------------
I think GSTrance has a TTE grill (looks very similar to the TRD) on his GS with the TTE lip , and I have the L-tuned with the TRD lip, both in black.
Here's mine
Older (pre-Gettin ) picture of GSTrance's with the TTE grill
I'm sure someone with a TRD/TTE Black GS combo will chip in... just can't think of who has that right now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit - here's a link to a good thread on grills you should look at for other alternatives.

You forgot the Netz Sport grill and the DSR grill...
Here is the DSR on Alex's car:
I don't generally approve of the TRD because of the faux cf overlay and the huge gaping mouth...
I am not too keen on the Netz Sport either because of the strange 3-bar chromeyish aluminium bars that go on the middle....
