Normal or cause for concern?
Still prepping my new motor. Perhaps going a bit overboard on cleaning but anyway...
So the previous owner had painted the air runners (the part that the starter is under) black. So I tool the top half off so I could make it silver again.
Once off, I could see puddles of oil here and there.
Is this normal or cause for concern?
thanks. See the oil puddles?

its not ideal but it is normal for alot of vehicles. its the oil crankcase ventilation system allowing oil vapor into the intake manifold via passenger side crank case breather hose that attaches to the intake pipe. than it coalesces in the intake manifold. if it bothers you than you can install an oil catch can.
