So I had these made for pretty good price out of 3/8" stainless.
I'm working on getting him to quote me for the delrin too and these could be put together as a package with hardware.
This is specific to the TTE lip and does require some cutting on the underneath side to allow for the radius to clear the lip edge.

I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Can I get a count of people that are still interested in this stuff?

why stainless? trying to increase cost or make more work? or both? it is not a structural steel and it is not "rust proof". why did you choose to bolt 3/8 thick steel to your 20ga. body??? i have followed this thread for a while, offering my help as a quality fabricator...how does that saying go, you can lead a horse to water....

I was under the impression that using stainless was necessary.. 2 or 3 people used that material in this thread. You're right though, I didn't think about it.

But the plate will be welded, not bolted to the tow hooks as done by the originator.

this the reason i told you i would be making mine in another material other than stainless...its just not needed here although im stoked to be finally making some progress. i have had my templates on the floor for like 3 months now and havent had any desire to go any further ATM so thanks for rebumping this and helping me get motivated again

Sorry I was away for the weekend. The cutout is a really good fit. I'm going to try to have them welded on this week and I'll get pictures then.

Well I have finished my skid plate project and waiting for my kit to get back from paint. Here is one picture of the design.

I have lots more pictures and will post them once my kit is on.
I'm going to be fabricating a set for the front and rear for my car in the next couple of days (probably after the holiday weekend). I took a rubbing of the tow hooks, scanned it, scaled them to size and then made CAD drawings off what I want mine to be. I bought some stock from my local metal supply. I dropped off the stock to my waterjet guy with the DXF file for him to cut out the brackets, then when I get those back I'll have my buddy weld them on. I want to do a bar across like mcgyver24 did. I don't want the frame to have any flex , I could be wrong but I think if only one bracket goes up could mess with the frame?? I don't know just trying to cover all bases and I think by adding the bar from one bracket to another one you make the frame stronger. If the CAD drawing that I made works out I'll provide the file for you guys. As far as the Delrin goes, I put in an order for that from my plastics supplier and hope to get that in a week or so. That seems to be the easy part once the brackets are, you can just cut the delrin out on a bandsaw or jigsaw and bolt to the bracket. I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes and hopefully take some pics along the way.
