I just recently replaced my accelerator pedal positioning sensor on my 1999 Lexus gs300. After putting it back together and putting the throttle body back on, when I start my car it idles up to 5000 rpm i can't find anyone with that same problem

 

Check the position of your cable might need readjusting, also check your TPS sensor (if you removed it).

 

Check your cable for binding. check for any possible vaccum leaks. if everything checks good do a complete reset of your ecm.
