Default Lexus Gs300 2003 CEL P0125 and excessive fuel

Hi Guys, since i have bought my gs300 in KSA i have been reading this blog and it had helped me to save time and lot many bucks too. This is the first time i am posting something. Sorry if I miss ettiquets in posting.

I am facing problem of excessive fuel consumption in my car like i fill up the tank with 65 litres 91 octane and it just gives 200-250km on the car. When i took to Lexus workshop they ask me to get injector cleaning, change of plugs and fuel filter. Also they seems not to find root cause for p0125. Here the lexus it self is very expensive like just for inspection they ask 1000 SAR equal to almost 300$ Ki dly suggest if all above replacements/works are neccessary and is it the right thing to do. Also for info my car is 190k KM. thanks in advance

I cant see that code doing much for the fuel consumption, but to clear that code, its either a faulty thermostat, faulty ECT sensor, or low coolant level.

Are you sure there arent any other codes? Could also be an o2 sensor issue.

Dumb question... Do you drive normal, or do you floor it all the time? could be caused by a heavy foot on your part

No there is no other code. The coolant level is perfect. The temperature for coolant after some time of starting reaches 85deg C. Also i saw by my obd2 device it was showing voltage values for o2 sensor. I can tell exactly the voltage later today. Also i have noticed that on the highway as well when i am cruising at 120km/hr it gives max 350km on full tank. Also i drive mix normal and agressive. Its not always aggressive

Default high gas consumption

Your car is running too cold or you may have a bad temperature sensor. It is giving the ecm a faulty reading for engine temp so the ecm is not going into closed loop. In that case the injectors would be loading up the car with gas causing the low mileage. Check the temp sensor reading ,the efi temp sensor. If the sensor is good then you my have a bad thermostat. I think its the temp sensor. give me a feed back il help you.

Finally some one replies. Thanks very much. I am not sure if the car is running cold. I am not a very DIYer so if you can please give me a little brief how I can check these. just for information my Bank 1 Sensor 2 had a broken wire which I repaired and is good. the B2S1 is flat lined at 0.06V and B2S2 is flatlined normally at 0.9V fluctuates a little when I hit the gas but not as sine wave. Also yesterday when I checked Car went into Closed loop but bank 2 longterm fuel trim was at 19.5%

Default p0125

Sorry for late reply very busy at work. I would like you to perform this procedure. Disconnect your battery terminals, hold them together for about one minute or tie them with a wire tie. Reconnect and start your car and drive it in traffic and on the highway so it can relearn the shift points at the same time perform a snap shot. If you are posting data do not graph it i want to see actual figures like fuel trim mostly long term , engine temperature, O2 sensor voltage and if you are in open or closed loop.

No worries. Thanks a lot already for helping me out. I dis as you said and I will also attache snaps as you asked. But there were some issues. The coolant level was low which i topped up and i saw leakage in the hose from pump side. But this is a recent issue and p0125 is from before. I will fix it. Also bank 2 sensor 1 wore got on the manifold and got burned which i will also fix tomorrow. One thing i did is when ever the light came i reaet it and after some time engine comes to close loop. Since i have done this the mileage has increased from 250km/full tank to 300km.
