first road trip with GS!!!
Well even though its my dads I still got to drive quite a bit.
From Carlsbad(San Diego) where I live we went up the coast to San Louis Obispo....about a 5 hour drive.
My brother goes to Cal Poly so we loaded up our golf clubs and other luggage.
I drove from Santa Barbara to SLO....fast and pretty winding roads at some parts. It was soo much fun!! Handles like a dream, and passing was awesome. The car is screaming to go faster!
Its soo nice having the ML sounds system and nav to play with!! The nav came in handy a few times.
Anyways just wanted to say that this car is soo much fun and will take anything you throw at it!
Im still talking my dad into some new rims! We have the stock 17inchers.
Would 18's effect ride quality at all, and how do prices go?
Thank you....
PS lets hear about your road trip experiences in your lex....

yea the GS is a swt car.
I have 19" wheels on my car with 245/35/19 in front and 275/30/19 in the rear with l-tuned springs and shocks....the ride is noticebly bumpier than stock...but overall still pretty smooth. But my handling is a whole lot better. I think 18" wheels wit 40 series tires wouldnt effect the ride too much...but im not too sure because i never actually tried...hopefully some of the other CL members can help u out better here than i can.
I drove from LA area up to Berkeley in norh cali. It was a fun drive, it took me a little under 5 hours to get up there. =D
