Hey what’s up guys,
I have an SC but I have noticed some new GS with black or gun metal looking head lights, it's just the part that the 9006 or HID bulb goes in, you know that outer headlights. I don't kno if you guys kno what I'm talking about, I have seen a couple of them around LA and I think they look tight, especially on white or lighter colored cars. Just wanted to give u guys the heads up on it incase you guys hadn’t seen it, but what am I talking about you guys probably knew about it a while ago.

 

you're right, they are nice, and you're also right about them not being a new secret. as far as i know, they're nothing actually special, just different housings depending on what year car you have or something. i mean, its not easy to call up a dealership or aftermarket shop and order the black housings to replace your chrome ones...which is definitely too bad

 

It all depends on the year of your car... I had my headlights retrofitted and during the process I had the housing painted black. I originally wanted chrome black but it's a difficult process...

 

The housings for the headlights you've seen are for the GS Sportline edition. They are standard on the Sportline edition along with a chrome grille and black pearl rear emblems. There are other differences and a couple "Sportline" badges, but nothing else all that special cosmetically.

 

my headlights should be going in this weekend if all goes well. Oh to be painted black housing, low beam and high beam housings.

 

Are you talking about the titanium finished headlight housing from the 2003 GS300 SportDesign? Here's a pic from the Lexus web site.
