Better be a big budget, unless you're a fabricator and have most of the parts already.

If your budget is 4,000 minimum than go ahead. but i'm speaking from experience here even doing all the work myself and using a used supercharger I still spent a bunch. part of the reason I say 4,000 is because theres no point in boosting your car if you can't do what it takes to monitor everything and take precautions to avoid damaging the motor. I.E. air fuel ratio gauge, some form of intercooling, bigger pump and injectors. But, I bet if you wanted to do the bare minimum with cheap ebay parts and someone you know to do all the welding, than I bet you could squeeze a single turbo under the hood and run everything else stock. meaning, injectors, computer, fuel pump. I know this because I'm one of the few people on this website who have literally had both a single turbo and a supercharger on my car. I know for a fact the stock system can support five psi. there is a trick you'd have to do to the mass air flow sensor to keep the air fuel ratio in check and richer than 12.5 the factory computer will put it at under wide open throttle. if you chose to go the turbo route, you'd have a hell of a time building the manifold that the turbo will attach too. but once thats done and fits, than the rest would be easy. how much do you have to spend???

Your best bet would be a tuned nitrous or methanol injection install. Least expensive and less invasive install than boosted charge. You can always program or create an electronic discharge to give you boost at certain rpm's or throttle level as to not have to press a button. That way it will give you a physical illusion of having a charger.

key word here is, "tuned".

at 11psi it put down 453 horsepower to the wheels. the torque was about 439. I have the dyno sheets posted under the "single turbo gs430" link in the performance section.

If you're trying to boost your car "On a budget" you already pick the wrong platform. Get prepared to spend some time and money because it's gonna be a project.

Seriously , I hate reading these threads "I wanna go fast or Vipd out, whats the cheapest route" OP just do what Jokster said, put some nitrous in it and drive it to the pistons melt

What is your budget? Like others above have stated, with no off the shelf turbo kit for this platform the price can escalate with doing everything right with the fabrication, tuning etc....

I forgot, its actually best and more beneficial to use after a supercharger. Its kinda like nitrous.

the op hasn't responded to any of our replies. perhaps we scared him off. but yes, he has no idea whats ahead of him. take nick aka rockalex for example. he has been dealing with his supercharger build for awhile now and after getting all the engine part mostly taken care of, hes now able to build some boost but now hes experiencing the transmission shifting issues. it sometimes seems never ending with these boosted projects. and the rabbit hole of cash just gets deeper and deeper.
