hey guys I am helping my buddy with buying 2nd gen GS. Is there any recommendations or problematic years he should skip? Any recalls? He is currently looking at 2001 GS300 with 110k miles for $3200. Thank you.

 

1.Maint. record is the important when you want to buy a used car. But check,
2. Ball joint.
3. All font suspension component.
4. Check if the TB was change at the dealer Lexus.
If the TB not was change, check if was clean correctly when did it last time.
5. Timing Belt, Water pump, front crank seal, both cams seals, valve cove seals and all the component on that area.
6. Actuators.
Another important think is use your common sense to hear some strange noise in the engine, transmission and rear end.
