Gentlemen, start your engines! Three pro auto-racing teams must create hybrid vehicles that combine dragster, stock-car and Indy-car design---and race them on three different courses. And, yes, they must be made completely out of junk in just 10 hours.
The teams are the Stock Car Stars from North Carolina, who build engines for drivers including Rusty Wallace; the Indy Idols from Pennsylvania, who design for Gil de Ferran; and the Hot Rod Heroes from California, who crew for Larry Dixon. The SCS car features an offset driving position, the Idols' machine is small, lightweight and agile, while the HRH crew fields a big V8-powered beast.
