is this possible (no third brakelight)???
it's a bit weird, coz' if the car doesnt' come with stock wings, it should have the 3rd brake lights on the rear deck. i believe that's required by law? anyway, my guess is he removed the rear wing and probably mold up the rear trunk lid

I know it seems out of the norm but their are cops that have nothing else better to do than pull people over for no reason ,I know this first hand coz I was pulled over and the cop told me I had a taillight out but he never gave me a ticket coz I really did not have a light out ,they just wanted to run my info and check insurance and my regi.....
but that's just my personal experience with NY finest

They car came with a rear spoiler. They owner didn't like how it looked. So he had the bodyshop take off the wing and fill the holes.
Well that was exactly my situation. I thought the car much cleaner without the spoiler. It is required by law to have a high-mount third brake light. I thought it was a waste of time and money to have the dealer intall the deck with the brake light housing. I have driving without the light for about two years now without getting pulled over for it.

i agree with TLEX that thats probably what his case was but imo i would just invest in getting the deck light . i know u said u've had it off 4 2 yrs and never had a problem but god forbid one day someone hits from the rear , if they r sharp they could state that they didn't c u hit the brakes or could blame the fact thier was no top brake 2 c from eye view, i know usually if some hits i from the back u win and they were too close but what if they throw that at a judge. i figure why place yourself in some preventable issue in case that ever happens( knocking on wood) i'm sorry 2 bring this up , i'm not trying 2 bring negatives 2 the table just an opinion on a preventable measure.
