Got an ABS problem?
Update:
My fault if this has already been discussed but just in case:
ABS sensor wire stretch is an ONGOING problem if your car is lowered. fellow CL member JeffTsai discusses one problem with the speed sensor that can happen if your car has been lowered. He has created a DIY on how to repair the sensor if the wires are pulled out of the sensor :https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...to-fix-it.html
However, sometimes the sensor wires don't become separated from the sensor itself. The whole sensor can be pulled out of the socket especially if you have removed the sensor for cleaning or repair and did not seat it correctly back into the socket. If the rubber O-ring becomes pinched in the socket the sensor will pop out especially if you make turns on un-even pavement.
One alternative to fix this issue would be to extend the ABS wire itself to allow for more slack of the wire and prevent wire damage and pulling out of the ABS speed sensor.
Im gonna try and extend the wires on my speed sensors and see if that will fix my problem once and for all. I will keep the posts coming as I work on this issue.

wheel bearing is cooked, cause the cv joint to run out of round, which makes the abs rig hit the inner metal dust seal and possibly the wheel speed sensor itself.
change wheel bearing and insure metal inner dust seal is replaced

Sorry dude, ur incorrect. Read the whole thread.
stick to your guns, sure, why not.
take the wheel bearing apart, the wear will show itself there and under driving conditions, obviously..not by wiggling the tire with your arms which generates no force.
but hey, ignore the bearing, just replace the metal dust shield, run on the old bearing.....and wear down the reluctor ring some more, why not.
you'll feel better thinking you really fixed it.....partial fixes keeps breakages coming

It's not the bearing. I installed a new axle once trying to fix the problem, but once it was in and torqued to spec, the wheel wouldn't turn. Do you know why? It's because the teeth on the ring had dug into the dust shield. I pulled the hub assembly out and ground down the inside of the carrier, and have so far had no trouble.
Awesome, someone's paying attention.

Ok, so I extended the ABS sensor cable about 2 inches now (shown in pics) when I turn the wheel on the car there is enough slack so that the sensor does not get pulled out of its socket.
Also, if any water is allowed to enter the area where the sensor seats the corrosion will make it tough for the o-ring on the sensor to seat correctly. Even after I cleaned the area I had a tough time getting that o ring to seat. I was in a bind and I had to result in using black silicone around the edge of the sensor. It should hold for now now that there is less of a chance of the sensor being pulled out.

Short ABS cable prone to tearing or causing adverse sensor readings. (Wheel turned all the way on even pavement)

Extended ABS cable. soldered and triple heat shrink wrapped with original sheathing. (Wheel turned)
Hopefully this PITA ABS issue that I've been having for years is solved.
Hope this helps.
