Use the positive wire from one of your reverse bulbs. You can use a multimeter or test light to determine which is the positive.

You can also search the 2GS forum. With a little time looking you might be able find the wire colors listed in a thread. Search "Camera install", "Reverse camera", etc.

Others have tried searching and could not find them so just checking the wires yourself rather than looking for them listed online is probably the faster route.

It doesn't draw that much power so I just hooked it up to the remote turn-on. Not sure if you want to always have it on though.

If 12v is not enough for a signal, something is wrong with your camera.

It depends on the Camara, mine needed a 12v ignition and a 12v switch (aka Reverse Wire).

Worked perfectly, if you provide which one you have and a diagram the unit came with we can help.

Where is the reverse wire located? I need to locate the reverse wire for my double din backup feature. Thanks in advance.

I will be honest I don't remember the wire color itself. What I did was removed the rear taillight, followed the wires coming out of the reverse bulb. Followed them into the truck and used a multi-meter. One will be ground the other will give out a 12v signal. Obviously the one that gives out the 12v is the wire. Its the easiest way, I tried for a while to find a proper "how-to" on this but could never find one.

Good luck and hit me back if you have any further questions.

I am in NYC if you want to meet up haah

Unless there is a video input I doubt there will be a way to do that.
