Any tall drivers out there had to move the seat rails back?
Hello Tall Drivers and Friends of Tall Drivers -
Does anyone have any experience with moving the seat rails back on a GS430? It would be great to have a little more room.
Many thanks,
Benjamin

I'm 6'2" and a big guy and have no problems... I do lean the seat back a fair bit though.

Wow, you must be all legs then! I'm 6'3 and 1SickLex is about 6'5" and we both seem to fit fine.

I have just the solution you need!!! Trade your GS430 for my 96 GS300!!!! The seat travels all the way back in these cars, so I have lots of leg room!! I'm 6'4", and I recline the seat too. I think weight plays a part in overall comfort as well, I'm probably 195lbs FULLY DRESSED!

I'm 6'4 250lbs and the 44 inches of leg room was one of the deciding factors in my decision to purchase my GS back in '99. This is the first car that I have had that my knees didn't touch the dash. I also lean my seat back pretty far which helps a little. But I feel you on moving the seat rails back. If you find a cost effective solution, be sure to let us know.

Benjamin, you'll have to excuse the silly remarks - we all poke fun here. The answer to your question though is No, none of us here have any experience with moving the seat rails back on a GS430.
Resolution: Remove your front seat
Perhaps try the dealer? Or maybe a bodyshop can help?

Even better, remove your front seat, and seat in the back seat. Extent the steering wheel out
Turn the car in to a 2 seaters

Be sure to have the body shop weld some bracing in those custom fabricated seat frame rails

6'2 no prob
i am 6'2 and don't have a problem. My buddy is 6'8 and in the passenger seat His knees hit the glove box. I don't have to worry about hims driving, he scares me when he is behind the wheel.
