Default 2002 GS300 gone...

Just traded in my 2002 Lexus GS300 yesterday towards a brand new Ford Explorer sport. GS was a great car but it was time to have more space for my growing family. Had it two years and put on 20,000 miles. Outside of a bad ball joint, it gave me no problems.

On a side note, the Explorer sport is a beast! 365 hp with 0-60 in six seconds flat with room for 7 people. If you are in the market for a SUV, check it out.

Congrats. I would have checked out Lexus first for either an NX or RX because they have more space in them but it's your car and I hope you and your family have fun!!

Came back to check this post....you all realize the Explorer is a 3 row SUV? That is something neither the NX or RX has. It seats 7 people.

Resale is unknown, but certainly won't expect it to be Lexus like in that regard. It was the one SUV that checked all the boxes for us so we went with it. Plus I paid cash for it so no loan to worry about. We plan to keep it for a long time.

It was good to chat with you guys the past couple years. The GS is a great car and I hope you keep enjoying yours. Take care.
