Default Greddy Lip

Jeesh...

I can't believe how many people are looking to purchase a greddy gracer front lip for their gs!

The demand seems high..but supply is very very low.

How many people are looking for one? Please post.

Now i'm wondering...is there a patent on the design? Maybe its time to pursue investment in a mold to create these things within the US and solve the supply chain issues.

What can happen if I start knocking these things off?

Can i call the part GREDDIE LIP ?

Does anyone also know the exact material used to build the lip?

The GReddy/Gracer front lip is URETHANE. Very flexible. I know because I had it. It can withstand alot of scraping and doesn't crack. But once it's cracked it's gone for good.

As for someone opening a mold..... can anyone really make a good quality GReddy lookalike lip that will cost less than 200 dollars? The GReddy is URETHANE. Even if someone makes a lip it will most likely be fiberglass. Can it be more durable than the actual GReddy one and costs the same?

I think it's not a bad idea at all, but it might as well be a TTE lookalike where it doesn't get scraped as much, therefore can be fiberglass with no problem. With something low like the GReddy, if it's not urethane I dont know how it can survive in the world of bumps and angled driveways.

Ditto

Man, why not call GReddy directly? Thye should be able to tell you what the story is, and which distributors have some.

I'm a dealer and go direct through Greddy and yes all the lips (not just the GS lip) are on backorder all the time. I always tell folks it's a month wait for the lips. I would stock one but have never had a GS owner ask me for one.

Just curious... would anyone be interested in a fiberglass version of the Greddy front lip? If people were interested we could easily make a mold... It could also be Carbon fiber... Just curious if that would be an option.

I would be RMMblair, but it should not be as low, i heard the Greddy can be too low.
And if it was made out of fiberglass, it should be cheaper too.

Yes I agree... The Greddy can be a bit low if you have lowered the car. And a fiberglass piece would be a lot cheaper.

Doesn't he visit the board. I thought Greddy was a USA co, not a Japanese one.

That's exactly why i posted this. I can get a mold made and then replicate using fiberglass...should be very easy to make actually.

Who would buy a replicate in fiberglass?
