Welcome. Another Maxima owner here. I still have my 95 which I'm in the process of retiring to track duty only. I love my GS400. Just started really modding it recently. I'm waiting on some good parts to get here right now (intake, race ecu, TC).

Org members like the GS's and you shouldn't get any slack about it. Only the top dogs over there can hang with the 400's. jk. When I converted, I thought my boys were going to have a cow. They've come around since and I go to both the maxi meets and the lex meets....in the Lexus.

Have my Gs300 last august, still keep my Maxima to drive around on a rainy day like today (Philly's Weather eats @$$) I wish we have a larger group of Lexus Drivers here in Philly who aren't Dr. or Lawyers, but young professional IT/Financier/Bankers etc. to meet up like you guys down in Texas.

But Maybe anybody from Philly???? Should we meet up and set up Philly Lexus Club? Just an idea!

Default Yet another Maxima convert ... but IS

Hi folks!

I am also a Maxima convert. I have recently purchased an IS300 though not the GS. The only thing I didn't like about the GS was the fact I couldn't get a 5sp or 6sp. I will be keeping my Maxima though, it's too much fun ... it is a 1997 Nissan Maxima that pushes 400HP to the wheels. I can't wait to turbo my IS300. Just gotta love those 2JZ engines! Not sure how strong the V8s are ... probably pretty stout too!

Just curious if any one has ever tried to do a 6 speed conversion on one of your bad boys!

Wow, it must be the logical next step to move from a Maxima to a GS. This is like the second thread regarding Maximas I replied to today. I owned a black 91 SE automatic which had H&R springs, 16" rims, and two 12" woofers in the trunk. Man, 16" rims! They looked so huge back in 1994! The Max died with 250K on it.

4DSC all the way!
