You MUST disconnect the CD changer from the back of the CD changer. The GROM unit Y's into the harness. I didn't think i had to but if you don't disconnect the CD changer you will get a CD error message on your dash. Once I unplugged the CD changer from behind, the error went way.

Glad I saw this. I must have missed that part of the instructions. The BT3 works good. Thinking about installing the bluetooth mic, not sure where to stick it.

Slightly confused by the last few comments so apologies if I've misunderstood, have you guys lost the CD multichanger function? What errors are you getting? I installed the BT3 in my '02 GS300 a little while ago with no CD problems. I never use the CD but I know it still works just fine.
I positioned the mic at the top of the A pillar. Ran/tucked the cable inside, behind the trim over the footwell, through a gap in the tunnel trim and into the BT3 behind the head unit.
