To me most of the retro fits look awkward. Like the Q45, its like the diameter isnt big enough to completely fit it out. Granted id want to see the ones I posted in the car and in action, but over all I like the idea. Leaving the stock reflective housing there and doing a floating projector.

It all depends what style your car is, whether it's "Vip", sport/street,stanced ect.... The headlights have to flow with the car. If you like them rock'em, at the end of the day it's your car.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but always remember just because it's different from stock doesn't make it better than stock

Lexus GS + ebay headlights =

I got a little project in the works at the moment. Hopefully I have enough time this week to complete it. I'll post up some pics when done

But aren't those projectors just LS600h led replicas and the low beams are switched to where the hi beams are?

Can't wait to see what you have cooking.

I really want a nice and clean retro fit for my lexus. Really just because with good quality projector lenses to get better light output. Could you link me to some of the best headlights out there that could be bought, I don't trust my self doing a retrofit.

I guess that depends on how ballin you are. But if one decides to put around $3K+ into a retro I'm sure they could have the real thing

But yeah, I'm having bixenons put into the ones I'm having built since I need both high/low beams in Germany.

It's nothing too crazy, but definitely nothing I've seen done on this forum yet or a 2GS for that matter.

In all honesty all the "nice" ones are all custom made. All the aftermarket off the shelf ones are ugly and ricey. When you're retro fitting it really brings out true creativity and uniqueness. If you don't trust yourself have a pro do it. It will obviously cost more but worth it in the end
