Default Input on GTE importer

I'm in the market for a GTE swap. My budget is 2k for the drivetrain. I'll be doing all the labor myself..using a lot of my NA-T stuff such as the fmic..piping..bov. I understand I'll need the front half of the drive shaft along with the maf and mk4 throttle cable, my question to you guys is.. Who do you recommend ? I live in ohio ..I've seen swaps go as low as 1700..To 2k shipped. These are off ebay however. Anyone ever ordered a GTE from zero lift or JDM Midwest Motor Depot Inc both based out of Ohio?

And I'm torn between then non vvti and the vvti. I like the vvti and nearly a plug and play swap but I also like the potential out of the non vvtis and how it's easier to tune ...however I can't find any write ups on it yet

If you go with a good standalone now days they most have capability of tuning for vvti.
