Not worth trying to fix that. Get another one. Nothing worse than a car that has been repaired and is not 100%. Car is too old/not valuable enough to even think about dumping major $ to bring it back. Just my opinion.

Why not just take the motor out.. and part everything out.. at least you could get some money back for a new car. Like they said.. although it may look fine now.. it would suck if you bought all the parts and nothing was lined up well.

Well if the engine isn't damaged and airbags didn't deploy (which surprises me because I would hope they'd deploy in a crash like that) fenders, hood, bumper and headlights etc can be had on eBay fairly cheap used, obviously good paint job will cost a bit but you could get the parts for around 1000-1500 and not that hard to bolt new ones on..

There is far more damage there then just replacing exterior piece's (Hood, bumper etc.) Everything that they bolt to and that holds them in place is twisted as all hell based off what I see in the pic. I use to be an estimator for a reputable collision shop. With this being a high mileage car it would be an instant "total" in my book. When you start to pull off the bumper, fenders etc. your going to see the extent of the damage. It won't be pretty. I'm shocked the airbag didn't deploy.

I'm thinking about grabbing a 98 gs 300 with a bad motor and transferring the nose over, due to the radiator support having to be welded on . I can grab that gs for 1400 , I haven't found out how much the labor would be , any ideas on pricing ? , besides that I know parts alone are going to be over 1000 $ any comments will help.

Probably a better option as you know the new parts will line up.

Just one of the ideas I have ,but I was thinking if I have to spend 1400 on a dead car and if say my Mechanic wants to charge me another 3 grand for the transfer , that's almost 5k, plus what ever future problem may occur , am I just better of finding another 430 for around 6 k ? , I'm only 21 , 1st car , 1st accident , I'm asking myself do I really want to buy the same car ? , my price range isn't really anything past 6 k, and the only car I've been interested in is bmw540 v8 , but I know lexus is reliable , I'm just confused :

These things happen.. only thing you can do is think of the best solution for yourself. Personally.. i wouldn't wanna deal with putting all this stuff on.. and then having to paint it which costs a fortune.. probably won't even match 100% and who knows how it will line up. I actually had a similar situation when i feel asleep in one of my old cars.. i asked a good buddy for help.. and we took the engine out and i sold the engine and scrapped the rest. Atleast with your car the engine is still good and you could part the rest out. If guys one here that have worked as adjusters or estimators say it's not worth it.. i wouldn't do it. But it's up to you.

IMO cut your losses and move on to another car. The same thing happened to my Camaro. I spent a few thousand to repair it and it looked good as new but it was never the same after that. I'd part it out and at least recoup some of your money from it. Good luck!

If you do decide to grab another GS....you can always part it out on here and you know parts will sell eventually. But thats if you have the time and resources/storage to rip the car apart and sit on things until people buy it. But you figure just the interior alone will get you a nice discount on your new car

Thanks guys, I'll keep an update, most likely I rather buy a new one instead on spending more money on it, thanks a lot everyone for your comments .

Rotten luck with that crash. Glad you're ok. Silver lining is you're getting a new car!!!

Is it possible there weren't any airbags in there to deploy? Did you buy the car new or used?
