Default Broken throttle body level sensor housing?

Greetings,

Over the weekend my 1999 GS400 suddenly stops accelerating after coming to a stop in my neighborhood. It felt as if the accelerator pedal was doing nothing, like a broken cable. After limping home, I noticed that the barrel end of the cable had come loose as a piece of the black plastic housing had broken off and the cable came off the throttle body sensor assembly.

Do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new throttle body level sensor, part # 22060-50011 or is this plastic "wheel" where the cable attaches available separately?

Thanks

same thing happen to me, drill a pilot as close to the Cable drum/End then use a Big head self taping screw to hold the cable down.. Easy fix..
Id take a pic but too much snow..

That had not occured to me, thanks for the post. I was thinking of epoxying the barrel end to keep it from popping out, but your idea maybe better.

Ive been running it like this for close to 6 months, no issues..Again make sure the screw is as close to the end as possible, little to no slack but allow it not to bind.. hope it makes sense..That part becomes brittle over time hence why they sometimes spall off..
