Underpowering in itself won't blow a sub, now clipping the amp trying to get more volume out of an underpowered setup can blow a sub but that's the clipped signal not the underpowered amp that's the problem.

It was pretty simple. Alot of work but simple. now i could do it with my eyes closed. Just pull out the bottom seat. Behind the head rest is 2 bolts behind the flap. 4 bolts on the bottom and the upper rear seat pulls out. Then pop off the 3 caps that spin on the deck and take those bolts out. Pop the three rivets you see and pull the 2 panals on the side of the window out. The deck will then pull out. Pull back the rubber matt thingy and u will see the 4 bolt holding the sub in. PM me with any questions

Yes, credit i believe will take you far in life. I dont want to deal with big down payments and high interest rates if i dont have to in my future. And why not get a set of wheels i like in the process?

gsean400 - did you have a difficult time re-installing the rear deck carpeting ??
The way it's installed seems to difficult to reinstall that's why I just cut small slits around the sub area to slide in my new wooden panel the my subwoofer sits on and bolted on to.

For me it was not difficult at all.. I havent done to much interior work on cars but this one was easy. The carpet deck litteraly slid right back once the rivets were popped up.. The only thing was putting the window panels back in, it was hard to line them back up correctly.. And also be carefull with the plastic. They dont really like to be moved after sitting still for 15 years. Here use this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...tml?styleid=14 i took 1 look at this thread and thats when i went to work. I might be making another thread sometime in the near future. I noticed the trunk acts like a sealed box for my sub, since it hits the lower frequencies like my old 12's did in a sealed box. Im prolly going to cut out the deck for a some sort of t2, l7 or w7 12 or 15. I just need to save a little since i want to get a good amp for those subs, upgrade the battery and dynomatt pretty much the whole trunk area. From experience i can say our cars spare tire area does not like bass.
