Please help!! Hard to accelerate won't rev over 4000
Hello I am new here, and I recently purchased a 2000 GS300. The car has been sitting for around 4 months or so and it started right up and idled perfectly. But when I would give it gas I could hear a misfire and driving it was very hard to get to 40mph. So I bought new plugs and wires, when changing them i noticed water in the spark plugs number 5 and 6 and oil in the rest. Cleaned it all out and replaced them. It's a little better but still struggles to get to 40mph. Idles fine still but when i rev it in park it will reach 4000 rpm and no more and i hear a slight popping. With the car running I tried disconnecting each coil and each time the car died so i know the coils work. Please help! Did I buy a crap car?? No cel by the way

And also im pretty sure i put the wires on correctly. The coils go on plug 2, 4, and 6 right? And number 1 wire goes to 6, 3 wire to 4, and 5 wire to 2? That's how it was when i took them off. Please help!! Thank you in advance

Maybe the MAF sensor is filter and caked with carbon. My theory is, it's not letting enough air into the engine when under load (Throttle to the floor) and starving the car of the right air ratio to burn the fuel and give you power and flooding the engine and bogging it down.

The cracked box on the air intake duct could be the problem? So I'm looking at the throttle body now and the plate inside doesn't move and barely budges when the throttle is wide open. Now I know it is electronic but if the gas pedal is all the way down should that plate open.. mind you the car is off andthe intake is off the tthrottle body

Ok update! I checked everything I did earlier, the plugs and wires are all fine. Recleaned the MAF and intake, recleaned the throttle body. I put it back together and still idles perfect it's just when driving it feels like something is restricting it from going. I don't feel it missing or anything anymore. And now when the car is warm it'll rev only to 3500 sometimes 4000. And it's loud when I step on the gas when driving, sounds like the intake or a exhaust leak or something but def from the front of the vehicle. When I rev it from under the hood the intake is loud and it hear the slight leak from that cracked box under the intake duct. Im stumped now, I have no idea what else to do! With the car running i unplugged the MAF and it bogged down and dies so thats working. In a while i will run to the parts store to see if any codes come up, no cel but what it the actual cel bulb doesn't work or was pulled prior to selling to me.

Update!!!!!!!!!! Went to parts store to see if any codes come up and no cel but it pulled code P0110 Intake Air Temperature circuit malfunction and another code for throttle pedal position sensor. Not sure if he meant throttle position sensor or if its the same thing. He said it was flashing converter and o2 sensor but he said no codes on those so may have been affected by the codes that actually pulled up. So now what??
