Default 2nd vs 3rd gen GS questions

Hello, Ive owned my 99 GS300 for about 6 months now and am very much in love with it, but it is getting up there in miles (188k) drives like a new car and everything works but i feel it would be wise to eventually get something with less miles, I love the 3rd gen GS body wisebut upon reading reviews have seen alot of people complaing about bringing them in to the shop alot. I figure the 2nd gen is alot more reliable of a car but does anyone have experience with a 3rd gen would they reccomend? otherwise i will probably just eventually get another 2nd gen with less miles or an acura TL, thanks for the input

I can't say much about the 3GS, but 188k is nothing, I've got 280k without any problems. I say keep it until you have major issues.

I agree with iToaster, 188k is not much for these cars. Keep maintaining it and keep using it.

The 3GS is a beautiful car, but the 2GS has far better reliability. Most 2006/2007 models aka the L-Finesse ones though sexier by design saw lots of cost cutting from both assembly and materials used. Thankfully since around 2011 quality has been addressed.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But it sounds like you want a change. If that's your reasoning, by all means go for it, but if it is truly the milage you are worried about, just relax and keep up with the maintenance.
