Do I need glue or am I SOL? It seems like there is a piece missing in order to keep it attached. Le sigh.

I just pulled them off, they should snap right back on. Look on both the brown and black cylinders, they have little lips around them about 1/4 inch in, those lips snap into the inside of the button.

Sweet Jesus I did not even think about trying to push the button in enough to snap on to the cylinders! After I snapped them on, I noticed the button remains stuck unless I manually stop it. I assumed all this time it's because the ***** got sticky, so I tested this theory by pushing the seat housing further in and tried to adjust the seat. It stopped on its own which made me look to the **** on the left and noticed the screws behind it were loose:

All I had to do was tighten the screws! Now my seat stops adjusting when I release it. Two problems solved! Thanks again, Mr Jokster!
