I took my car in for an estimate and they came back with a cost of $2,275. The guy doing the estimate said the final amount will be higher than that because he couldn't see any of the damage under the hood. He didn't want to open it before starting the work because he wouldn't have been able to get it shut.

He was going to see if they can just replace the rubber seal around the headlight or not. If it is not a separate piece then they will replace the entire light.

The car will go into the shop next Wednesday. Until then I have to drive a busted Lexus.
