Default Just got a GS400..now should i keep it?

I picked up a 1998 GS400 from a friend of mine. It sat in his garage for about 8 months. I paid $3k for the car plus getting it smogged and re tagged.

The car only has 85k and was serviced at a lexus dealership up until a year ago when it was involved in an accident.

Long story short, friend took the insurance money and a mechanic mickey mouse the car back together. The passenger side fender was hit by a suv. Visually the car looks good but has a quite a few problems with it. I am trying to decide if I should repair everything and keep it or just sell it?

It needs to be taken to a reputable body shop and have the entire front end redone by a professional.

Some other issues I noticed:

1) No wiring for horn (traced it to relay box but cant find a wire)
2)Passenger turn signal wiring has been cut and no socket is visible
3)Left headlight is HID and the right side is halogen (the car came with HID from factory) easy fix though just need to get new headlights.
4) I will post a picture, but it seems that a lot of hoses are missing around the intake manifold. The car runs and a check engine light is on. Traced it back to EVAC codes.

It has a clean title. Engine and transmission are great overall.

I will post some pictures soon so you guys can get an idea of what I am dealing with.

Appreciate all suggestions and help.

A reputable body shop would be great, but cost a fortune. If its just a few odds and ends like you say, pull up next to another GS and see what all is missing. If you could get the thing working for cheap and you can trust it, then drive it. If not, you may want to look at parting it out for a profit, if you have the time.

For a 3k I'd expect done kind of problems but the body work is annoying IMHO but flip it for higher price lol !

But alot of those problems can be fixed if you have another car and the time.

Got some good news. Took it to a reputable body shop today for an estimate. They checked everything and said most of it is cosmetic damage. Primarily the fender and front bumper. They are willing to fix the entire car and all the issues I have with it for $2000.

Also, does anyone have a picture of a gs 400 engine bay without the engine cover on?

I searched and was unable to find anything.
