How Easily Can Bodykits Be Damaged?

and what is an air bag suspension and how much does it cost???

LEX, Steve can get you a Bodykit without a Group-buy going on.. When I first got my GS a cart from Home Depot smashed in to it and scratched through the paint into the bumper.. So what I did was called Mr. Ganz and I had my L-Sportline bodykit 2 weeks later.. Just like you said some kits are easier to get than others, trust me if you want a JDM kit order it now from Steve Ganz or I can help you find a place that can obtain what you want... As for the measurements with the kits, it all depends on how hogh your car sits.. Like it you are sitting on 20" rims with a 35 series tire and stock struts and springs your really not going to have any problems at all.... But on the other hand if you have upgraded your suspension and you got about 1 1/2" drop with stock wheels then you'll be sitting pretty low... My advice to you is go with a set of coilovers like I have, then you'll beable to adjust your hieght to whatever you desire.... Agian order your kit from a place you can trust and don't have to worry about....

Thanks.

No Problem JacobT
I plan on doing a full article, but I'm missing some assembly steps. I plan on tearing down the front end over Xmas for some other mods, so I will shoot the needed pics. I expect to publish the article some time after that, let's say January.
I'm not very good at using my photo editing sw and the files are too big to post. I have someone giving me a hand with reducing them, so I hope he can come by this weekend.
I can also send you the photos directly to your e-mail. Just let me know.

if you use Adobe Photoshop (5.0 or higher) there is a save for web option..which really reduces the photos down to a manageable format even for dial-up guys.

Yo get the bodykit and quit whining, I just got a carbon fiber hood from fiber images, it ****ing light as hell took me few hours to install ****ing great fit. The win kit should ariving ina few weeks, you want to buy it from me for $1000 I'll let you check it out, it will be unpainted and Im talking front bumper rear bumper and side skirts. I just figured out how to lower the res on my new digital cam, I'll give a try to download a photo of the Delron plastic skid plates (black verticle pieces) mounted to the rectangular steel tube supports I made(The silver pieces with the holes)
The old pics JacobT posted were before I went digital.
Note that these plates have 17 months of wear on them. (Took the pic just today) Also note that I hit my driveway every time I leave my home, so I'd say they have lasted pretty long considering the abuse.
A DIY of the whole process, with more pics will be posted in the near future.

here's my version of the skid plate...my bumper didn't hang as low as rmmgs4's so my metal bracket comes under the bottom lip of the bumper. its weird cuz we've got the same exact bumper and we got the same pieces of metal?? but anyways this is just to show that follow the basic idea.
1. cut metal to fit your bumper.
2. weld it onto radiator frame.
3. attach delrin plastic in a way you think will best keep your bumper safe.
I just finished today and its a load of work for a DIY project but I believe its well worth the effort. Now I just have to repaint that bumper
Thanks again to RMMGS4 for the concept and some tools...couldn't have done it without...

You're welcome Jawnthen !
You'll have to update me with tips on the best way to clear the front turn signals.
I'll be tearing down the front end around Xmas time to re-do the front skid plate slightly and take more pics for the DIY article.
I will do a hybrid of what you did and adapt it to my set up. Let's call it v2.5
All part of the Passionate Pursuit of Perfection RIGHT ? ! ? !
