Any Good Alternatives to OEM Engine/Transmission Mounts?

Sam, no regrets huh? How many miles you got on those mounts?
I think that given that my groaning is present when parked on steep downhills, I can pretty much rule out brakes and suspension for the groaning part.

I'm not sure I would use Megan Racing... But the Roca brand sounds interesting and well priced.
Regarding the mount condition, some people say you can put the car in gear with your left foot on the brake, goose the gas pedal with your right foot, and have someone watch the engine to see how much it's rotating or if it's making any unusual noises. I'm not so sure about this method since I personally have no point of reference of what is normal. If your mounts are completely separated, it will be obvious. But if they are just worn, this test might not tell you much.
For me, I get a groaning sound when parked on steep downhills or when hitting the brakes hard. That's sometimes an indication that the motor mounts are going. With 100K miles, it's probably a good idea to go ahead and just replace the mounts.
Where can you buy the ROCAs for $169?

I would also check your front strut rod bushings as mine are going out and I get the same noise on downhills or hard braking.

I would suggest doing that test, its pretty apparent when the mounts are blown out by doing this. Put the car in drive with the E brake on and your left foot on the brake. make sure you have the hood popped so you can see the engine movement, then press the gas. if the engine moves more than a inch to an inch and a half your mounts are probably going out.

Does anyone have any reviews about any of the motor mounts used? I'm going to be switching mine out soon, and wanted to be sure to get good mounts that won't kill my wallet. However, if the roca ones on eBay or DEA ones listed in this post don't perform that we'll, then I won't mind spending a little extra for the ones from Sewell. I have a 2000 gs300 with 180k miles.
Thanks for any input!

Thanks ****-adkt!! Good to know, I really can't wait to swap these out!! The vibration at stop lights are starting to really bug me, and putting it in neutral every time gets annoying.

So I'm bumping this up, has anyone used beck/arnley mounts? All the reviews I've read on them are fairly positive, but the one on rock auto for our cars (02 gs300) is only $3X, am I missing something as to why they are so cheap? I'd get the roca set on ebay but I don't need all the mounts, I only need one.
