OBD code P0156, need help reading my scanner
I have been getting a P0156 CEL off and on for a couple weeks now. I have been making note of it, then clearing it. I figure one (or both) of my O2 sensors is going out.
Before I go and buy two sensors, one for each bank, can someone verify that I am reading this scanner properly?
What I'm worried about is that this scanner doesn't specify the bank. It looks like it's telling me Bank 01 sensor 02 by this picture though:
But then I hit Enter, and it displays this:

Any thoughts?

The code itself tells you all you need to know. P0156 refers to bank 2 sensor 2. Maybe the 01/02 & 02/02 just refers to the way that particular scanner lists the amounts of faults present. For instance, on my scanner, the readout would say I have 2 faults, both would be P0156 but one would be listed as pending and the other would be listed as active, even though its the same fault my scanner will list them as 2. Maybe yours is doing the same, if you want to be certain, do something easly like unplugging your MAF and starting your car without clearing the other faults and see if it reads 03/03.
I really think that may be what its doing because on the 01/02 screen, you have an arrow pointing to the right, basically telling you there are more codes. On the 02/02 screen, the arrow points to the left or basically telling you to go back because you have reached the end of codes.

About the scanner...yes, I know it says German Technology on it…but it's made in China. And for $20 the thing is a fantastic deal. Wasn't really looking to get a hard time about the scanner I had, just help deciphering what was reading.
Thank you Chin! Exactly what I was looking for!
