Cool How many of you have a working original Lexus car phone?

I had to chuckle when the transport truck dropped off my "new" 98 GS400 and I opened the center arm rest to reveal this bad boy. I was tempted to remove it because it's so late 90's, but it makes me feel like an O.G. so I think I'll leave it.

My five year-old was like "WTH is that thing?" LOL!

So does anyone else have one of these still installed? Mine is fully functional, but the service isn't set-up (obviously).

Some more ways to keep that retro look

Instead of gutting the whole thing like this guy did maybe you can save the parts that integrate the phone into the sound system so when you answer the phone it will turn your stereo down who knows

^ very cool. I would love to have this thing operational so my passengers would get a good laugh, but I just don't have time to do it. I think people will get a kick out of it as it is anyway.

Hey, here's a pic of the controls on the steering wheel if anyone is curious. I will also add them to the first post.

My '02 GS4 with NAV/ML has that bad boy too...lol... I'm wanting to swap the steering wheel phone control module back to the audio control module... however, there is a secret, mythic sequence required (push button A, while holding button B, rub head and blink eyes 3 times within 4 secs, etc) to be performed once you RE-PLUG-IN the audio control module to RE-INITIATE the audio/nav/ecu to swap back from phone control to audio control once you swap back to the new switch.... I saw it way back when. on the now defunct (austrailian/EU?) link to the TIS GS2 service manual and can't seem to find it anywhere now... anyone have the procedure, or a login to TIS???

PS - you should see all the jumper harnesses under the trunk covers for that POS!!! what a nightmare!!
