Default Apexi Neo Tune

I am just about to purchase an apexi neo, and I am leaning towards tuning it myself at home, I do not want to pay to go to the dyno everytime I want somethine adjusted, especially with the temperatures constantly changing here in WI.

I know that to tune it myself, it is a necessity to get a wideband. So my plan would be after both the wideband and apexi are installed, just to sit and add/take away "air flow" until i reach my desired air to fuel ratio at each rpm level.

Has anyone on here ever tuned by using this method or has everyone pretty much taken it to the dyno?

Don't need a dyno & it can be safely accomplished via the street. I did an AFC tune on my GTE SC via the street and went to the dyno in the end to fine tune the x-crossover & top end. Pretty simple but use open road with less traffic ofcourse, if you are doing this solo as I did. Have the WB in a good visible place as you monitor & make fine tune changes. In the end you can take it to the dyno for a confirm and final session

If in the end you take it to a dyno.. why not just take it there in the first place and be done?
It can be catastrophic if you are not a seasoned tuner and run the car lean.

Where in WI are you?>

well obviously.. thats why I am also getting a wideband... so I can moniter the air/fuel ratio to keep it just right at all times.
