Default GS400 thermostat question..

So I replaced my thermostat this morning since the car had trouble warming up when cold...but my question is, is it alright that I put the little hole that lets coolant through when cold at the 6 o'clock position?

the opening on the thermostat should be clocked to the same position the old one was. If you don't recall, you will have to wait until someone with a 400 can chime in.

Where in RI are you from?

Just for good measure it is always recommended to place the t-stat in the 12 o'clock position. You should be fine, but always follow the manufacturers recommendations. It's placed that way for a reason
