Default 06-09 speedometer conversion possible???!

Just wondering IF anybody has thought or attempted to do a speedometer conversion on the 2GS.. The speedometer from the 06-09 looks badass IMO and looks SOMEWHAT similar. Just digging the face of the speedometer. Kinda like how people who had a civic and did an integra speedometer. I know it's not a Honda or Acura but it'd be cool if we could do that. Attached is an image of the 06-09 Lexus GS (3rd Gen GS) speedometer.

The newer ones have way too much multiplex data to successfully simulate...at least not easily. I mean, you could build and design a signal converter/translator system but it probably wouldn't be worth spending weeks or months into doing it.

i remember the integra cluster i did one back in 2000 to my hatchback. i wired the dash/door panels/cluster for the integra swap and fitted the dash/cluster etc etc (i had a vx model hatch i converted to a si model to make all power)

as Jeff said these are to time consuming to do on these newer units that are so integrated but by all means feel free to try.....but i dont see you or most members taking on a task like this.

Shame coz if there was an 'out of the box' solution, I'd do it. Those dials are so nice!
