Default Bad Paint

The old owner of my gs4 got a horrible paint job on the car. 3 months after I bought it I noticed runs in the paint and the clear cost is pealing everywhere!!! I don't have 2k for a good paint job, what are my other options? I was thinking just take off the clear coat an just get a new layer of clear coat.

Your '99 GS does not have a clear coat to begin with.

The last owner repainted the car abd got a clearcoat too I guess because I know this isn't the original paint.

You're honestly still better off repainting. If the clear coat has failed, more than likely the paint underneath has too.

Mang! You're in Cali... There's more paint shops there than babies in china. I'm sure you can shop around for the best prices. I wouldn't spend no less than $1k for a paint job. Anything less that that, you might as well vinyl wrap your car. Or buy me an airbrush kit and I'll paint your car AND airbrush you a design on a white tee for 2 piece pice meal at Popeyes. Better make it a 10 piece cause it's gonna be a long day!

There's the problem. Don't have a grand to drop on paint. Time to save up.

my hood is beyond repair but the rest could be fixed. I was thinking of painting the hood and getting a detail.
