Default Recognition lights look like the battery need charging

Hi,

I have a 2002 GS430 and in general am very happy with the car. But one thing that bothers me more and more are those silly recognition lights in the front. They look like they are powered by a couple of D cell batteries on their last legs. Does anyone know how I can either turn them off or put in some HID bulbs or something to make them useful?

thanks,

Jerry

are you talking about the day time driving light, the one that turns on during the day time?? or the one that turns on (still in the high beam housing) at night?

if it's the first one, then it's tough coz' it's high beam running half power...

if it's the second one, get the polarg m4 or m6 (higher power) for better light output. read the information tab for more info

That's the one. I have no idea what the heck this light does, except ruin the looks of the car during the day. Sounds like I am stuck.

How about just turn the light stalk one click and use the real 'parking' lights which can look better? You can even leave it at the one click. They'll still go off when you lock the car (after 30 seconds or immediately after a SECOND lock button press on the key).
