2002 GS300 Tranny issues?

2002 GS300 Tranny issues?
My GS started shifting really hard on downshifts and sticking in gear from first to second.
I have changed some of the tranny fluid ( i am in process of changing more) and it seemed to help some but not much.
But the odd thing is it sounds like a metal clunking when i downshifts any thoughts??
