What was pictured/described in the FS ad? The silicon on the cleared one is a mess, I'd feel like a jerk selling that, but I've bought more than one item that's not in as good condition as I expected from the description over the years. In my eyes, it's always better to overdo the details and defects.
Either way obviously things aren't right but hopefully the seller makes things right. If he's offering to send you another light to make a matching pair, I'd personally give him the chance to do that and get things staight. On the other hand, if I was the seller I'd refund your money plus return shipping just to make things right and know I didn't have an unsatisfied buyer.
