Hi, thanks for the additional info, I got it. I likely wouldn't use the nav either.. Hmm,, I may try to source the 2001+ Nav head-unit, I don't know when I'd get everything together, nor that I'm capable of wiring it up correctly, but I use a knowledgeable car audio guy who I"m sure would understand what to do w/the help of your schematics, if I could trouble you to send?

I just removed mine since I'm going all aftermarket with the audio system. I was going to list it on ebay along with the ML amp and nav unit but let me know if you're interested in it.

These should be able to get you on the track: https://imgur.com/a/zPEap8W

The instrument panel junction box has one free connector slot on non nav cars which you can use to get acc/rem etc. You can access it by removing the middle clock and ac, its right in the middle of it. If you need more help hmu.
