whoa, that's interesting.. what size is the piping that you used? for both the actual pipe and the 90* bent tube branch thing? From the looks of it, it looks like 3" piping
3" for the main pipe because of the borla tip. The branch is 2.5 inch but I should have used 3" I think the 3" would have reduced or eliminated the little bit of. Drone I have at 1400 rpm
Nice sound! I was debating on muffler delete.....But i like the look of stainless mufflers too =/
This can be used with a muffler. You put your muffler on first and then if you have a resonant that is annoying you use a frequency analyzer To determine the resonant frequency. Once you know the resonant you add the branch to the appropriate length to eliminate the resonant, this way you can have the louder sound but not the annoying drone. The only draw back is the extra weight of the piping since its about 27" long. What I did was make it longer since longer can always be made shorter, with the cap at the end not welded. Then I slowly removed some till I got it just right to eliminate the drone. I kept the original flange and bolted to it so I can remove the entire setup and add the original muffler back on at any time. I am not going to weld the cap because from time to time I want to be able to open it so I can clean it out since I think moisture can accumulate since there is no exit.
I recently just deleted my 3rd muffler and installed the Top Speed Pro Y-pipe with smaller resonators.. Sounds pretty good.. Will try to post a vid this week... It seemed louder before i did the 3rd muffler delete with the y-pipe but now it seems like a more refined and tuned sound.. Definitely louder but no drone at cruising speeds...
Nice videos
U definitely need to post a vid. I want to delete my 3rd muffler as well
