Ahh, with the pic added you make some sense now.
If your talking about the big hole, there would be a rubber inspection cover there. It's so you can take the bolts out of the TC to remove it. And you can look in and see if your rear main seal is leaking as the back of the flexplate would be covered in oil (and you would get oil dripping from the drain hole/notch at the bottom.
It's all good just order another rubber plug for it. $10

GS3 your my hero. So now I got a couple other questions. I do have a oil leak that they said it was the rear main. It doesnt look like its leaking from that plug area though. Could it leak from somewhere else if it was the rear main? That might explain why I would smell oil burning when on stopped on an incline though

See if you can look down in it, I know it is award to actually see anything without being on a lift. But run your finger down in there too. There should be oil residue pooling in the bottom, and the notch/drain hole should show oil, as well as a small trail going back under the trans case if it's a decent leak since the wind from moving would blow the drops back and show on the trans. But that trans looks damn clean on the bottom.
If your not getting low on oil between changes, you see no evidence under the trans, and it doesn't leave drips in your driveway then I wouldn't stress it too much at the moment.
It's more common to leak oil from the cams, vvti gear, oil pan gasket, and valve covers before the rear main. If your smelling oil or are worried about it, you really need to inspect the entire engine to find the source. If it's leaking externally and not just burning it, then you will find evidence if you look hard enough.
