Default Gauge Cluster needed?

The lights on my dash have completely gone out. They don't blink, I see nothing. Do I need the entire gauge cluster replaced? Or just the bulbs?

It is unlikely all the bulbs went out at the same time. You should start by checking for any blown fuses, specifically the Gauge fuse in the Driver Side J/B (Junction Block).

I hope its not the cluster because its actually not lit up by bulbs. Its lit up by a CCFL tube which you cannot buy separately. Here's a photo of the cluster with the tinted cover off. The tube with the coil wrapped around it is the light source for the cluster gauges

Thanks for all the great input! As a trouble-shoot, my mechanic disconnected the neg battery cable for a few min. When he reconnected it, it came back on. I guess he reset it.
