So I just got a 1998 gs400 and im planning to get new rims. i got the 17inch stock one. I just wanna know about the stock rims. like offset and stuff like that. i dont know anything. im wondering if i can fit 17X7.5 5-114.3 35MTB on my car too.

 

Based on what you said you should have no problem. But please use the search option we have here on CL. Tire and wheel fitment questions have been asked, discussed, and debated for years here. We even have a main thread dedicated to just that issue!
